I love doing Musicals, perhaps it's all my pals at CalArts seem to be musical theater performers.  Like all theater, face expressions, makeup, actions and emotions are put right up front so they are clearly visible.  That's what I try to do with the music from these shows and it's often brought me to tears and ecstasy while performing them.  I clearly see the characters the emotional moments come alive with all the drama and flare but as a creation in my mind so they are as perfect as I want and very personal.  Man la Mancha of course is perfect for a Guitar but it's surprising to see how well Phantom of the Opera came out. I consider these arrangements to be some of my best work.
