I have been asked to be a feature performer at the Center for the Arts main stage by their event manager, for that matter I've also been asked to perform at Carnegie Hall in NY.  But in both cases, they need a guarantee and a way to keep ticket prices down enough to sell a full house.  That requires an underwriter to the tune of $2500 - $5000.
